The dream of former Senator Dino Melaye to return to the red Chamber has been dashed as the current member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Yusuf floored him to pick the Kogi West PDP Ticket in the rerun polls.
Both Dino and Yusuf had pulled 88 votes in the peaceful, free and fair election held on Monday which necessitated the rerun.
History was made again as Yusuf had defeated Melaye in 2010 to pick the House of Representatives ticket.
In the keenly contested Kogi West senatorial election primary election held at Kabba 9n Tuesday, Yusuf defeated Dino by 163 votes against 99.
