The 1976 set of Dekina Old Boys Association (DOBA) has held its 2024 reunion, bringing members from all walks of life together at a colourful ceremony which took place at Edge Drive Hotels, Lokoja, the Capital of Kogi State.

The well attended Reunion was attended by members both virtually and physically as the programme was another opportunity to meet old school mates after 48 years of leaving the great citadel of learning – GSSD.

According to him, to make the set more responsive and responsible to its Alma mater, the IMC planned to introduce a scholarship scheme for under privileged students of the School as well as career mentorship, guidance and investment programmes.

Prof. Alfa, who thanked members for their support and generosity, enjoined them to sustain the gesture to promote love and harmony.

As part of the activities for the 2024 Reunion events, the existing IMC was desolved and replaced with a new Executive members to pilot the affairs of DOBA’ 76 for the next four years.

Most of those officials emerged by loud affirmations following their track records as members of the IMC.

The New EXCO members are; Prof. John Alfa- Chairman Friday Okai-Vice Chairman, Dan Okolo -Secretary, Abu Ibrahim – Assistant Secretary, Jeminiwa Emmanuel – Treasurer, Lawrence Adejoh and Ali Suleiman are Financial Secretary and Public Relations Officer respectively.
