Easter: Badaki Harps On Sober Reflection, Tackling Insecurity

As Christians all over the world mark this year’s Easter celebration, commemorating the birth of Christ, a Tourism Expert, Alh. Aliyu Badaki has congratulated them on the special celebration.

Alh. Badaki also enjoined Christians to use the period for sober reflection on the lessons of love, humility and sacrifice that the celebration represent.

He said this in a statement issued to Journalists on Sunday to commemorate the Festival of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

According to Alh. Badaki, who is the National President of Iyara Development Association (IDA), this year’s celebration is unique as it coincides with the annual Ramadan fast, urging Nigerians and Iyara Community in particular to use the period for fervent prayers for an end to insecurity in the country.

He solicited for prayers for the safe release of the Chief Imam of Iyara land, Sheikh Quasim Musa, stressing the need for the people to be security conscious towards nipping the State of kidnapping, banditry and other security challenges in the bud.

While felicitating with Iyara and Ijumu Christian Community on the celebration, Alh. Badaki enjoined Christians to emulate Jesus Christ for the society to be a better place.
