The Transition Caretaker Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Area, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna has congratulated Nigerians on the celebration of Easter, the festival of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Alhaji Haruna in his Easter Message, urged Christians especially in his Local Government to give peace a chance towards attracting development to the Area.

According to him, “God’s kindness, faithfulness, mercy and abiding love made Him to send His only begotten son to the world to suffer and die for the salvation of mankind.”

He urged Christians and Nigerians at large to reciprocate the enduring sacrifice by intensifying prayers and promoting peace, love, unity and progress in the country.

He urged Ijumu people, Kogi state in particular, and Nigerians in general to take advantage of the celebration to forgive one another, promote peace, love and unity across all quarters.

The caretaker chairman also used the opportunity of his Easter message to seek support for the administration of his Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and urged the people not to do anything that could make him lose focus.

The caretaker chairman also said he would continue to discharge his duties by upholding equity, justice and fairness as his guiding principles.

While congratulating the Christians for witnessing another Easter, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna urged them to celebrate with modesty and with the less privileged by showing love to them in a manner Jesus exemplifies.
