Former Council leader of Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Hon. Mubeen Musa has resigned his membership from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Hon. Musa in a letter sent to The Drum Reporters on Monday and addressed to the Iyamoye/Igbopin Ward, did not give reasons for his decision.

The letter reads “I humbly write to inform you of my decision to resign from the party with effective from the above date. This decision is taken after a careful re-evaluation of my over 20 years active participation as not just an ordinary member but a stakeholder in the party having been a former council leader in Ijumu Legislative Council.

While appreciating the relationship we have built overtime within the members of the party.

Please accept my exit as a way to move forward and find a new political order.
