Ijumu Caretaker Chairman Directs LG Revenue Staff To Commence Immediate Collection Of Revenue

The Caretaker Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Transition Committee, Hon. Ibrahim Haruna had directed that only carrier revenue staff should immediately commence the collections of all revenue that are meant for the Local Government.
Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna gave the directive on Tuesday during a meeting with the management and the revenue collectors at Iyara.
The Chairman warned that any revenue staff that is found wanting will be dealt with, assuring of his commitment to reward outstanding revenue Staff.
Hon. Haruna further disclosed that anyone outside local government staff that intended to collect revenue must present a written documents to be verified by the DLG of the Local Government.
In a remark, the Head of ijumu local government administration, Mr. Joseph Oluwafemi Asaju appreciated the chairman for giving the Carrier Revenue Staff the opportunity to perform their legitimate functions.

He admonished the collectors to justify the confidence reposed on them.
In her remarks the local government treasurer, Mrs Habibat Saliu pledged on behalf of her workers that they would not let the Chairman down as they are ready to work harder to make sure that everything works well.
On his part, the Revenue Officer of the Local Government, Mr Felix Ibitoye thanked the chairman and the management for listening to their complain and urged the authority to act fast to enable them meet the target.
