Kogi Community Appreciates Tinubu For Appointment of Hon. Yori Afolabi As NPC Commissioner

A sociocultural group, Iyah Gbede Development Association (IDA) has  expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of Hon. Yori Afolabi as a Commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC).

In a joint statement by President of IDA, Dr. Emmanuel Jeminiwa and National Secretary, Engr. Joseph Aiyenigba, the Association thanked the President and National leadership of the All Progressives Congress for finding Hon. Afolabi, a distinguished son of the Community worthy of the appointment.

The State reads in part “You were announced recently as one of the approved 20 Federal Commissioners for the National Population Commission (NPC) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR to drive the administration’s Renewed Hope Mandate. This is a call for higher service and loyalty to the nation and the leadership of your party across board.

“The rare and unique opportunity offered by this appointment is in recognition of your consistency and demonstration of your believe in the leadership and mandate of the government in power as well as the policy framework of All Progressive Congress (APC) as well as the Renewed Hope Mandate of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

“While you were in the Kogi State House of Assembly, you had the singular opportunity and privilege to serve as the Minority Leader. The track records of your immense contributions to the affairs and proceedings of the State House of Assembly as well as the able representation of the good people of Ijumu Kingdom, stand as beacon of positive impact in the affairs of Kogi State and the Good People of Ijumu Kingdom that you represented. We are confident that you will stand tall in the new assignment at the National Population Commission as you represent Kogi State as a Federal Commissioner.

It further added that “On behalf of the community and all sons and daughters of Iyah-Gbede, Ijumu LGA of Kogi State, we appreciate the kind gesture of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and the entire hierarchy of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for endorsing our son as a Federal Commissioner for this noble assignment.
