Kogi State Government is to commence full enforcement of arresting commercial drivers operating in the State and other defaulters without prerequisite documents.
Technical Partner to the Government on Revenue Drive, Prince Dan Olaitan Dada made this known at the final Sensitization Meeting with members of the State Chapter of National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Lokoja.

Prince Dan, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Dansavist Multi-Concept frowned against Commercial Drivers carrying fake vehicle revenue particulars, noting that such act will no longer be tolerated henceforth.
The revenue expected to be paid by the drivers include driver’s licence, all vehicle particulars, Driver Badge, Colour Exceptional Permit, Conductor Badge, Single Interstate Road Tax Sticker (SIRTS), Intra-State Commercial Vehicle permits, Waste Basket and Signage/Mobile Advertisement for branded vehicles.
The Technical Partner, who is the Senior Special Assistant to Chairman of the NURTW in the State, solicited the cooperation of commercial drivers in the State for a seamless enforcement exercise.
He cautioned the Drivers against fermenting trouble with officials as they have been mandated by the government to do their jobs, adding that Government will make sure that the right thing will be done.
In his remarks, the State Chairman of NURTW, Alh. Yahaya Ibrahim, represented by Nnadi Johnson, dissociated the Union from drivers parading fake particulars, expressing the readiness of the Union to work with the State Government for the enforcement programme.
Representative of Kogi State Internal Revenue Service, Abduljalil Abdulrahim appealed for more cooperation from the Union, saying having the necessary permits is for their own good.
