The Decamping and Empowerment Program organized by Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), State Security Adviser to the Kogi State Government, as earlier announced by his Media Office, has been suspended and postponed to a later date.
This development follows the death of the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ijumu Local Government Chapter, Mr. Oyewole Mayowa Solomon, who was reported to have slumped during a meeting in Iyara, Ijumu LGA, and was later confirmed dead at a hospital.
A new date for the Empowerment Program will be communicated in due course. All inconveniences caused by this change are highly regretted.
The Security Adviser condoled with the family of the deceased, the Kogi State APC Chairman, and the people of Ijumu Local Government over this great loss. He described Mr. Solomon as a personal friend of many years and a committed party man who dedicated his life to the growth and progress of the APC in Ijumu LGA and Kogi State at large.
Commander Omodara also condoled with the leadership of the APC in Ijumu Local Government and the entire Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, describing the death as a great loss to the party.
He therefore prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul and asked that God Almighty grant him eternal rest, and grant his family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
