Kogi Unity Cup: 4 LGAs Book Place For Semi Finals

Kogi LGA has progressed to the semi-final of the ongoing Kogi Unity Cup being sponsored by Otunba Olayinka Braimoh.

Kogi Local Government team defeated Yagba East Local Government 4-1 on Friday at the St. Barnabas Football Pitch in a best loser’s tie to join the qualified three regional winners from Kogi Central, East, and West.

Kogi LGA, who earlier saw off Lokoja LGA in a match-up joins the Ankpa, Ajaokuta l and Ijumu local government’s teams in the sem-final as all four battle for the coveted trophy and tournament’s glory.

The Unity Cup, which saw the 21 local governments participate in her first edition, is an initiative of Otunba Olayinka Braimoh who is using football as a tool for unity, exposure, and talent development of the youths in Kogi State.
