Comrade Adeyemi stated this while speaking with Assembly Correspondents shortly after the passage of the bill to alter the nineteen ninety nine constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended which seek to give room for Local Government autonomy.

The NULGE President, who commended the Assembly for doing the right thing, saying with the passage, getting money to fight security challenges will soon become a thing of the past.

According to him, the issue of percentage salary for Local Government Workers will soon be addressed, urging other State Assemblies to emulate Kogi State House of Assembly.

He expressed appreciation to the Speaker, Prince Matthew Kolawole and other members for giving the bill a unanimous passage.
