Many Feared Dead As Gas Tanker Explosion Rocks Nyanya In FCT

A massive explosion on Wednesday night rocked the Karu bridge at Nyanya area of Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), after a gas tanker burst into flames, and engulfed several vehicles.

It was gathered that at least seven bodies have been recovered so far, while emergency responders continue rescue operations.

Personnel from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other security agencies were seen at the scene, working to contain the situation.

The incident has caused severe gridlock along the axis, forcing many commuters to abandon their vehicles.
