New Executives to pilot the affairs of Association of Retired Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter have been inaugurated.
After Piloting the affairs of the Association of Retired Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries of Nigeria since two thousand and three, the pioneer Chairman, Chief James Mesole and his officials have handed over to the new Executive.
Those elected are; Okeme Jibril Abdullahi, Chairman, Ohize Muhammed, Vice Chairman, Sir Kinrin Peter, Secretary and Sylvanus P Akpama, Assistant Secretary.
Others are; Elder Hannah Ohize, Treasurer, Martin Arokoyo, Financial Secretary, Chief Sani A Adamu, Public Relations Officer, Sule Katu Abdullahi, Legal Adviser with P.I Agboore as Auditor.
The outgoing Chairman in his address said the Association is apolitical, urging the new officials to focus on the wellbeing of members.
The new Chairman, Alh. Okeme Jibril Abdullahi commended the founding fathers of the Association for the outstanding manner of handling the body, while praising the government for prompt payment of pensions.
According to him, top on his priorities is facilitating severance allowance, gratuity and pension for members, expressing confidence in the ability of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to fulfil his promise.
Alh. Ocheme noted that in hitting the ground running, the Executive will focus on building a befitting Secretariat for the Association upon completion of the land documentation.
Other Executives including, Sir Kinrin Peter, Secretary, Elder Hannah Ohize, Treasurer and Chief Sani Adamu, Public Relations Officer maintained that the new officials are committed to the welfare of members.
