The Leadership of Ogidi Omo Movement, a support Group of Hon. Funsho Olumoko has announced the infinite postponement of its empowerment programme earlier scheduled for today 22nd August 2026.
According to a statement by the Leadership of the Movement, the postponement is in honour of the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC in Ijumu Local Government Area, Hon. Solomon Mayowa Oyewole, who died on Friday.
The Group described the death of Hon. Solomon as a collosal loss to the family, APC, Ijumu Local Government and Kogi State, coming at a time that his wealth of experience is greatly needed.
We join the family of our brother to mourn his demise. In face, “we lack words to express how we feel following the death my beloved Brother, Hon. Solomon Mayowa Oyewole. This news is devastating, disheartening and sad. Ijumu has lost a great Personality, rare gem and Grassroots politician, who has contributed to the growth of the party.
We sympathise with the family of my brother, friends, political Associates and Leaders, stakeholders, and APC faithful over the painful and great loss.
Hon. Oyewole Solomon was a dedicated party leader and a dependable compass in advancing the interests of the party and the people of Ijumu. His sudden departure is a great loss to the APC and the entire Ijumu community.
I pray Almighty God to grant him eternal rest and give his family, friends, party members, and the entire Ijumu community the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
