Kogi State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd) has described the Saturday’s Local Government Election in the State as peaceful.
Commander Omodara also applauded the conduct of the ad-hoc staff of the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC), Security Agencies and voters for the tranquility witnessed before and during the election.
He stated this shortly after casting his vote at the PU 001, Townhall Oke Offin Ward in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area.
The State Security Adviser, who expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election, noted that the arrangements put in place by KOSIEC in terms of logistics are commendable.
According to him, from security reports at his disposal, the election witnessed peaceful conduct of the electorate.
“This election has been very peaceful and we are lucky in this community that the Councillorship Candidate is from here and you can see the unity among the people is peaceful. This is a community that has been united for APC. The conduct is peaceful, you can see the deployment of security agencies and reports from every part of the state shows that the election is peaceful and there is no violence anywhere.
