The State Security Adviser to the Kogi State Government, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), on Saturday joined Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to receive Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on a one-day working visit to the state.

The visit formed part of ongoing collaboration between the Federal Government and Kogi State on initiatives to improve the welfare of women, vulnerable groups and rural communities.

On arrival at the Dangote Airstrip in Obajana, Tinubu commissioned the newly constructed Oluremi Tinubu Treasury Complex in Lokoja, inspected the National Community Food Bank Project for the North-Central Zone, and launched the Women Empowerment Programme at the Kogi State Government House.

Omodara commended the First Lady’s commitment to the welfare of Nigerians and praised Ododo’s leadership in delivering people-oriented projects that have brought national recognition to Kogi State.

He described the visit as evidence of strong ties between the Federal Government and Kogi State, expressing confidence that the initiatives unveiled would improve residents’ lives and accelerate development across the state.
