The Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, is attending the 37th Annual General Assembly of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU) holding at the University of Ilorin.
The conference, which began on August 18, 2026, at the university’s main auditorium, has the theme “Building Resilient Universities for Nigeria.” It has brought together vice-chancellors and other stakeholders in Nigeria’s university system to discuss institutional challenges, policy innovation, and ways to strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of Nigerian universities.
The Minister of State for Education, Professor Suwaiba Said Ahmad, declared the conference open on behalf of President Bola Tinubu.
Usman is among the university leaders and education stakeholders using the assembly as a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration on advancing university education in the country.
