Worried by the hardship faced by the people of Mopamuro Local Government Area especially having access to portable drinking water, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Candidate for Yagba Federal Constituency, Hon. Seun Ibigbemi has completed 25 Solar-Powered Boreholes across the Local Government Area.

This milestone large-scale solar-powered water project is located in 25 communities across the Area.

According to a statement by the Campaign Team, while the projects have reached its final stages, it will bring the promise of clean, reliable water closer to thousands of residents who have long lacked access.

The project, initiated by the LA Ibigbemi Foundation and sponsored by Hon. Seun Ibigbemi, has completed both the borehole drilling and water tank structure construction phases across all 25 designated sites.

This is a significant achievement in what has been described as one of the most ambitious grassroots infrastructure drives in the Yagba region in recent memory.

The initiative, branded “Operation Water for All,” has now advanced to the water tank installation stage, with 80 water tanks expected to be delivered within days.

Once fully operational, the solar-powered boreholes will provide communities with sustainable, year-round access to clean and safe water, eliminating the burden of long distances and unsafe water sources that have historically affected the health and daily lives of residents in the area.

The project is widely seen as a reflection of Hon. Ibigbemi’s focus on tangible, community-level development.

While the Water Scheme will be extended to other Local Government Areas in the Federal Constituency, Supporters say the initiative goes beyond politics, representing a long-term investment in the welfare of ordinary people across Yagba.

Also, Residents and community leaders in the benefiting areas have expressed enthusiasm, with many describing the coming water supply as a life-changing development for their communities.
