Residents of Asuta Ward in Kabba have expressed excitement as the long-awaited asphalting work has officially commenced on Korede Road, marking another milestone in the ongoing wave of infrastructure projects facilitated across the Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.
The road project is one of several developmental initiatives facilitated by the Honourable Member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, Hon. Arc Salman Idris, as part of his commitment to improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for constituents.

For years, residents and commuters have faced difficulties navigating Korede Road, particularly during the rainy season. The commencement of the asphalting work has therefore been widely welcomed by community members, who believe the project will significantly ease transportation, stimulate economic activities and improve access within the area.

Speaking on the development, Hon. Idris emphasized that the project is being executed with a strong focus on durability and quality.
“We have ensured that quality work is being done on the road so that it will stand the test of time. We remain committed to building a legacy of infrastructural development in Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency,” he said.

Residents of Asuta Ward commended the lawmaker for his continued efforts in attracting developmental projects to the constituency, noting that the Korede Road asphalting is a clear demonstration of responsive and people-focused representation.

The project further reinforces the lawmaker’s broader agenda of driving sustainable development through strategic infrastructure investments across Kabba-Bunu and Ijumu communities.
