The State Security Adviser to the Kogi State Government, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), on Saturday joined other illustrious sons and daughters of Kabba to celebrate the 2026 Kabba Day festival, describing it as a celebration of unity, culture and progress of the Owe people.
In his goodwill message to mark the annual event, Commander Omodara felicitated with His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Solomon Dele Owoniyi, the Obaro of Kabba and Chairman, Okun Area Traditional Council, for his fatherly leadership and his commitment to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Owe Kingdom.
He also commended the leadership of the Kabba Development Union (KDU) and the Central Planning Committee of Kabba Day 2026 for organizing a colourful and successful celebration that has once again projected Kabba as a centre of culture and unity in Okunland.
Commander Omodara, who is a proud in-law to the Owe Kingdom, said Kabba has remained a home to him, noting that he will continue to identify with the good people of Kabba and support initiatives aimed at the development of the community.
He noted that Kabba Day goes beyond merry-making, as it serves as a platform for stock-taking, fostering brotherhood, and mobilizing sons and daughters of the kingdom for community development.
The Security Adviser prayed for the continued reign of peace under the leadership of the Obaro of Kabba, and wished all Owe people, both at home and in the diaspora, a happy and memorable Kabba Day 2026 celebration.
He reaffirmed his commitment to continue contributing his quota to the peace, security and overall development of Kabba, Okunland and Kogi State in general.
