Kogi: Haruna Expresses Satisfaction With LG Polls in Ijumu

Eligible voters in Ijumu Local Government Area on Saturday turned out in their numbers to elect the next Local Government Chairman and Councillors at the 15 Wards.

 

In most of the Pulling units visited by our Reporters, the turnout was massive as security agencies were on ground to maintain law and order.

 

The main contestants for the Ijumu number 1 seat are; Ibrahim Haruna of the All Progressives Congress APC and Musa Olumayowa Yakubu of Action Alliance.

 

The APC Candidate while speaking shortly after casting his vote at Unit 001, Okoro Igah Ward, Ogidi, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election by the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission KOSIEC.

 

Haruna commended Ijumu Electorate for coming out en masse to exercise their Civic right and expressed optimism of emerging victorious at the election.

 

He promised to replicate the developmental strides of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in every sector of the Local Government, assuring that the welfare of Ijumu people will be his priority.
