Kogi Central: Ramatu Withdraws Suit Challenging Engr. Ohere’s Victory

A former Aspirant for the May 28th 2022 All Progressives Congress APC Kogi Central Primary election, Ramatu Tasalla Shehu has withdrawn a suit challenging the victory of Engr. Abubakar Ohere.

Ramatu had in a suit FHC/LKJ/CS/32/2022 challenged the victory of Engr. Ohere before the Federal High Court Lokoja.

Counsel to the Plaintiff, M. S Ibrahim who was represented, told the Court that his client has decided to withdraw the case but did not give reason.

The Counsels to the Respondents, M. Y Abdullahi and F. A Kozor did not oppose to the application for the withdrawal.

The Judge, Justice P. H Mallong after hearing from the Counsels struck out the case.

In his reaction, the Kogi Central APC Candidate, Engr. Abubakar Ohere thanked Governor Bello for intervening in the matter and urged other aggrieved Aspirants to sheath their sword and embrace reconciliation.

Engr. Ohere, who dedicated the victory to God, told them to put the outcome of the primary election behind them and unite for the progress of the party.
