Kogi West Apc Stakeholders Reject Forged Senatorial Primary Result, Allege External Plot To Destabilise Party Unity

The Kogi West APC Stakeholders and Supporters strongly reject and condemn the circulation of a forged and fraudulent document falsely presented as the result of the Kogi West Senatorial Primary Election conducted on May 18, 2026.

The fake document, which ridiculously claims that Hon. Sam Aro emerged as winner of the primary election, is not only criminal in nature but also laughable for several obvious reasons.

Most importantly, Hon. Sam Aro officially withdrew from the race before the primary election, in full compliance with the party’s directive and in loyalty to the leadership of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

It is therefore absurd, misleading, and intellectually dishonest for anyone to attempt to declare a candidate who voluntarily stepped down from the contest as the winner of the election.

Beyond this, all aspirants involved in the process have openly and unequivocally accepted Dist. Senator Sunday Karimi as the consensus candidate of the party. There exist both written and electronic evidences confirming their acceptance and support. None of the aspirants has withdrawn his support or changed his position.

For the avoidance of doubt, the authentic result of the primary election was duly conducted, supervised, and officially declared at the approved venue, with Dist. Senator Sunday Karimi emerging as the duly elected candidate of the party for Kogi West Senatorial District.

We therefore have strong reasons to suspect that this forged result may be the handiwork of opposition forces and political elements who are deeply troubled by the ongoing reconciliation, unity, and renewed strength within the APC in Kogi West. Having failed to divide party stakeholders internally, they now appear desperate to manufacture confusion, provoke mistrust, and destabilise the growing harmony among the various blocs and factions of the party.

This desperate act will fail.

We also wish to state clearly that the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, is not known to be a man of double standards, inconsistency, or political deception.

We strongly reject every attempt by mischief makers and external forces to drag the Governor into this matter or create unnecessary friction between him and stakeholders of Kogi West APC for selfish political purposes.

We shall firmly resist any attempt to set us against the Governor through falsehood, manipulation, and manufactured controversy.

The circulation of forged electoral documents is a direct attack on democracy, party integrity, and public peace. Forgery, falsification of election results, and dissemination of fake documents are serious criminal offenses under Nigerian law and must not be treated lightly.

Our Position

We unequivocally stand by the authentic result. Dist. Senator Sunday Karimi was validly elected through a transparent and duly supervised process conducted in accordance with party guidelines and democratic principles.

The forged document is null, void, fraudulent, and worthless. It carries no legitimacy whatsoever and should be disregarded by all party members, stakeholders, and the general public.

We call on the National Working Committee and the National Leadership of the party to immediately dismiss, reject, and condemn this fraudulent act, while reaffirming the authentic outcome of the primary election.

We demand urgent investigation and prosecution. Security agencies and relevant authorities must immediately identify, arrest, and prosecute those responsible for this criminal forgery, including their sponsors and collaborators.

We urge party members to remain united. This is not the time for division or suspicion among ourselves. The unity currently being enjoyed within the APC in Kogi West must be protected and strengthened against external manipulation.

Kogi West deserves peace, order, fairness, and respect for due process. The will of the people as expressed on May 18, 2026 must be respected and protected at all times.

We therefore urge all party faithful, supporters, and the good people of Kogi West to remain calm, vigilant, and law-abiding, while ignoring every fake document and misinformation not issued through officially recognized channels of the party.

Pastor Stanley Ajileye
