The Chairman, Kogi State Chapter of the (NIPR), Hon. Ismaila Isah, has warmly welcomed and congratulated the Institute’s newest members, Dr. Mohammed James Dada (anipr), and Mr. Adebayo Emmanuel Korede (anipr) on their induction as associate by the institute.

The Chairman in a statement through Aturu Bishop, Public Relations Officer of the Chapter, noted that their admission into the Institute underscores their commitment to professionalism, ethical standards, and the structured practice of public relations.

He maintained that the Kogi State Chapter of the NIPR remains proud to receive practitioners who are dedicated to advancing responsible communication, reputation management, and institutional credibility across sectors.

He expressed confidence that the new members will contribute meaningfully to the Chapter’s programmes and to the broader development of the public relations profession.

Hon. Isah further called on individuals engaged in public relations practice in all its forms—whether in the public or private sector including corporate organisations, media, consulting, or civil society—to take advantage of the forthcoming training and induction opportunities organised by the Institute to regularize their membership.

He emphasised the importance of formal membership, noting that professional regulation is not only a mark of credibility but also a statutory requirement.

He cautioned that continued practice outside the regulatory framework of the Institute may constitute a breach of existing professional guidelines and relevant laws, and urged practitioners to regularise their status to avoid running foul of the law.

The Chairman also recognised members of the Chapter who are participating in the 2026 #NPRWeek in Kaduna, commending their commitment to continuous professional development.

He emphasised that active participation in professional trainings and conferences remains essential for staying intellectually grounded, professionally relevant, and effectively network with other practitioners within the evolving landscape of public relations practice.

He encouraged the newly inducted members to actively participate in Chapter activities and to uphold the values of integrity, excellence, and continuous professional development.

The Chairman extends the chapter’s congratulations to the new members and looks forward to the impactful contributions of all members of the Chapter.

Signed:

Aturu Bishop, Public Relations Officer
