NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL FROM KOGI STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY RACE
GBEDDE CONSTITUENCY
I, Hon. Obanewo Titus Femi, wish to formally announce my withdrawal from the race for the Kogi State House of Assembly, representing the good people of Gbedde Constituency.
This decision comes after thoughtful consultations, intervention and Special Request of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, whose commitment to unity, stability, and strategic political alignment within our party remains unwavering.
In the spirit of progress and collective interest, I have resolved to step down and fully support the emergence of the party’s consensus candidate. This decision is not borne out of weakness, but of strength, discipline, and a deep understanding that leadership is also about sacrifice and timing.
Politics, like life, is a game of rhythm—knowing when to step forward and when to step aside. Today, I choose to step aside, not as an end, but as a bold recalibration.
Let it be clear: my passion for service remains unshaken. My structure stays intact. My vision for Gbedde Constituency is alive. And when the time is right, I will return to the field—stronger, sharper, and even more prepared to serve.
I sincerely appreciate God Almighty,my wife, the Obanewo’s in its entirety, my supporters across Aiyetoro Gbede Community, all Gbede and by extension Ijumu Stakeholders, my childhood friend, Hon. Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege (aka Fancy) and my trusted friend, Engr. Friday Oloniyo.
I urge my supporters, stakeholders, and the good people of Gbedde Constituency to remain calm, united, and committed as we rally behind our party’s candidate for victory.
The journey continues.
Signed:
Hon. Obanewo Titus Femi
