A Group of Hunters in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State have rendered their apologies to the Chairman of the Area, Hon. Haruna Ibrahim and Treasurer of the Local Government, Hajia Abibat Omotola Saliu over their earlier allegations of withholding their salaries.
Spokesman of the Hunters, Tiyamiyu Yakubu Orija in a Video after a meeting with the Chairman and Local Government Treasurer, Abibat Omotola Saliu to clarify the truth of the matter, said they earlier misrepresented the fact.
“We sincerely tender our unreserved apology and regret the consequences of our actions. We regret the inconveniences this publication has done to your reputation.
Orija noted that after going through the Bank statements of the affected Hunters and hearing the side of the Chief Security Officer of the Local Government, they have known the truth.
He particularly regretted the dragging of the Local Government Treasurer, Abibat Omotola Saliu to the matter, urging her to forgive and let go of the matter with the view of forging ahead for the peace and tranquility of the Local Government Area.
The Spokesman also enjoined the Public to disregard the earlier reports and video on the internet which alleged the duo of refusing to pay back long of salaries owed them.
According to him, now that the truth has been revealed, “My Treasurer, Abibat Omotola Saliu, I want to tender our unreserved apology over this matter. We apologize deeply to you and your family.”

Orija also restated their commitment to supporting the Executive Chairman in his resolve to ensure that the people of the Area sleep with their two eyes closed.
